A Fun Introduction to Life with Horses
Our Children's Experience is designed specifically for young horse lovers ages 5–8, giving children a fun, safe, and hands-on introduction to what it's like to care for and interact with a horse.
🐴 Get to Know the Horse
Learn how to approach a horse, get to know their personality, and begin building a positive connection.
🌿 Learn to Be Safe
Discover how to behave around horses, understand their behavior, and interact with them safely both on the ground and in the arena.
🧹 Learn to Lead
Children will learn how to properly put on a halter and safely lead a horse with guidance from our experienced team.
🚧 Lead & Explore
Put their new skills to the test with a fun, horse-friendly obstacle course! Children can practice leading their horse through and around cones, over tarps, around flags, and through other simple obstacles.
🏇 Experience Riding
Children will enjoy a lead-line ride around the arena, giving them the opportunity to experience what it feels like to sit on and ride a horse in a safe and controlled environment.
👩🏫 Guided & Supervised
Every experience is led and supervised by our knowledgeable team, with safety and a positive first experience around horses at the heart of the program.
Who Is It For?
This experience is designed for children ages 5–8 who are interested in horses and want to learn what it's like to interact with, care for, and ride a horse in a safe and supportive environment.
It's a great introduction for children who may eventually be interested in riding lessons or other North Crest programs.
